Who We Are
Four people. Three of us are immigrants.
We know both sides of this because we've lived one of them and worked the other since 2009. Three of us came to Canada as immigrants — our own applications, our own waiting, our own version of starting over somewhere we didn't know how anything worked. The fourth is our licensed consultant. That's why your worker tells us things they'd never tell you — and why we can tell you what's about to go wrong before it does.
Benjamin Smillie
Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant. Licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants, and responsible for making sure every step of a file meets IRCC requirements.
Amira Ghannoum
Immigration Services Manager. An experienced immigration professional with a legal background, Amira holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Aleppo and a Certificate in Immigration Laws, Policies and Procedures from the University of British Columbia. Amira manages client files and oversees the day-to-day operations alongside our Immigration Consultant, Benjamin.
Jennifer Aquillo
Client contact. In touch with the worker from the beginning, and still there long after the file is closed.
Yehu Levy
Coordination. Keeps the worker, the employer and our team on the same page, so neither side has to chase the other.
Those are the roles on paper. In practice, all four of us do all of it.
After the File Closes
Somebody still calls.
Most workers don't leave over immigration. They leave over everything else. Family back home needs something. A letter arrives that makes no sense. Something at work is wrong and they don't know how to raise it. Nobody tells the employer any of this — until the worker hands in their notice.
So someone here stays in touch after the file is closed and there's nothing left to bill for. Not to sell anything. Just to answer whatever comes up. Most of it gets solved before it ever reaches your desk.
A settled worker stays. That's the whole thing — and it's what every promise on the rest of this site depends on.

If You're an Employer or a Family
You have a worker or a caregiver whose permit is coming up. We handle the LMIA and the work permit process to keep them legally on your team, without a gap.
Sure Immigration is not a recruitment agency. We don't source or place workers — our work is the immigration side only. Since 2009, almost every client we've had came from someone we already helped.

Not everyone offering immigration advice in Canada is licensed to do so. A Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) is authorized by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) to represent clients before IRCC, and is held to strict standards of conduct, competence, and accountability.
Working with a licensed RCIC means your case is handled by someone who can be held professionally responsible for the advice they give — not an unregulated consultant operating outside any oversight.
